CADGIS USAGE & POLICIES

Individual Usage

Any faculty, staff, or student from the College of Art and Design or the Department of Geography or Anthropology is welcome to use the lab. By default, all CoAD and G&A faculty, staff, and students are considered CADGIS users. Students of other departments taking G&A or Design classes are also consider CADGIS users. Users will use their PAWS accounts to login to a CADGIS machine under the LSU domain. - Students may need to initially reset their PAWS accounts by logging into PAWS, going to Personal Preferences, and then Password Change. The new password can the same as the old password. (Note: instructors should do this too!)- Since CADGIS is now using PAWS accounts, CADGIS cannot change forgotten passwords. Instead, the users can reset their passwords as directed by PAWS.

Class Usage

Classes have exclusive use of a lab during their assigned times. Students from outside a class will not be permitted access until the class has been dismissed. The computers in the Kudzu lab are never used for classes. During non-class times, the computers of the lab will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check the class schedules for class meeting times.

Please check the bulletin board outside CADGIS for any ad hoc changes to the class schedule.

Note

No food or drinks are permitted in the classrooms. Please make CADGIS a clean and friendly place. The use of any tobacco product is also PROHIBITED!

FOR SECURITY REASONS, USERS MUST LOG OFF THE COMPUTERS UPON FINISHING THEIR WORK!
