JOBS WITH CADGIS
Most graduate assistantships and student worker positions in the CADGIS Lab are funded through departmental assistantships, chancellor aides, and college work study. However, assistantships and student worker positions do become available when CADGIS receives externally funded projects and grants.
If you like to be considered for such as position, please email me at fjones@lsu.edu with your resume attached in MS Word, Rich Text, or HTML format. Resumes will be accepted only electronically and so please do not submit a paper copy of your resume to the lab.
Indicate any relevant courses and prior job experiences that should be considered. Include software skills that you have. We are interested in workers with one or more of the following skills. (In parentheses, you will find the programs in which we prefer you have skills.)
CAD skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
3D Modelling skills (3D Studio, FormZ)
Database skills (Access, SQLServer, Oracle)
GIS skills (Geomedia, ArcView, ArcGIS)
Programming skills (VB, C++, JAVA, ASP, JavaScript, Perl)
Web skills (HTML, IIS, ASP, Macromedia Dreamweaver, MS FrontPage)
Be sure to include with your resume contact information such as an email address and phone number. (Email addresses preferred.) If a position becomes available that would be suitable for you, we will contact you. Please DO NOT SUBMIT a paper copy of your resume to the lab.
Please DO NOT ASK for an appointment. I know you desire an oppurtunity to personally demonstrate your skills and aptitude, but the number of applicants makes it impossible to grant appointments.
